Order Throttling
Limit the number of orders accepted within a time window.
Order throttling helps prevent your kitchen from being overwhelmed during peak periods by capping how many orders can come in at once.
Slot Duration
The slot duration defines the length of each time window used to count orders. For example, a 15-minute slot means orders are counted in 15-minute intervals.
Maximum Orders Per Slot
Enable Set Maximum Orders Per Slot and set a limit. When the maximum is reached within a time slot, new orders for that slot are paused until the next window opens.
For example, with a 15-minute slot and a max of 10 orders: if 10 orders come in between 12:00–12:15, no more orders are accepted until 12:15.
When orders are paused, customers see a message that the restaurant is temporarily at capacity. Make sure to set limits that reflect your actual kitchen capacity.
