Send Test Email

Preview your email campaign by sending a test email before delivering to your audience.

The Send Test Email feature lets you send a preview of your email campaign to an email address of your choice. This helps you verify the layout, check how personalization variables resolve, and catch any issues before the campaign reaches your guests.

How It Works

  1. Save your email campaign as a draft
  2. Click Send Test in the top-right corner of the preview area
  3. Enter an email address and click Add
  4. Add additional addresses if you want to preview on multiple devices or email clients
  5. Click Send Test to deliver the preview email

The test email is sent exactly as your guests would receive it, including any personalization variables substituted with sample data.

Requirements

  • The campaign must be saved as a draft before you can send a test
  • A valid email address is required

What to Check

After receiving your test email, verify:

  • Layout and formatting — Ensure sections, columns, and blocks render correctly
  • Images — Confirm all images load and display at the correct size
  • Subject line — Check that the subject line appears as expected in your inbox
  • Links and buttons — Click all links and call-to-action buttons to verify they lead to the correct destinations
  • Personalization variables — Confirm that variables like guest name and order details display properly
  • Mobile rendering — Open the test email on a mobile device to check responsive layout
  • Dark mode — If your email client supports dark mode, verify readability in both light and dark themes
Test emails use sample data for personalization variables. The actual values will differ for each guest when the campaign is sent.
