Bag Fee
Add a per-order bag fee at checkout.
The bag fee setting lets you add a small fee to each order, typically to cover the cost of bags or packaging.
Enabling the Bag Fee
Toggle Charge Bag Fee on and set the amount. The fee appears as a separate line item on the customer's order at checkout.
When to Use It
Bag fees are common for:
- Jurisdictions that require charging for bags
- Takeout and delivery orders that need packaging
- Eco-friendly initiatives to encourage reusable bags
The bag fee is a flat amount per order, not per item. It applies once regardless of how many items are in the order.
