Card Details
Set the gift card code, value, and status.
The Card details section controls the core settings of the gift card itself.
Code
Each gift card gets a unique code that guests use to redeem it. New cards start with an auto-generated code, but you can replace it before issuing the card.
Value
When creating a card, you can pick from preset denominations or enter a custom amount. The starting value becomes the card's original balance.
After the card is issued, the original value stays on record and the current balance changes as transactions are recorded.
Status
Existing gift cards can be switched between:
- Active — The card can be redeemed
- Cancelled — The card is disabled and can no longer be used
Value and code are set when the card is issued. Ongoing balance changes happen through transactions, not by editing the original value.
