Menu Details

Configure the name, service types, and available hours for a menu.

The menu details page lets you configure the core settings for a menu — its name, which service types it applies to, and when it's available.

Name & Description

Give your menu a clear name that reflects its purpose (e.g. "Lunch Menu", "Weekend Brunch", "Happy Hour"). The description is optional and helps your team identify the menu at a glance.

Service Types

Select which ordering channels can use this menu. For example, you might have one menu for Dine-in and Pickup, and a separate delivery-only menu with limited items.

At least one service type must be selected. Only active service types for the current location are available to choose from.

Available Hours

Set the days and time windows when this menu is active. By default, a new menu is available all day, every day. You can narrow this by adding specific time slots per day.

If a customer places an order outside the menu's available hours, items from this menu won't be shown.

Special Instructions

Control whether customers can add special instructions (e.g. "no onions", "extra napkins") when ordering items from this menu. When enabled, a text field appears on items during checkout.

This setting is inherited by all categories and items in the menu. Categories and items can individually override this if needed.

Deleting a Menu

To delete a menu, scroll to the bottom of the details page and use the danger zone. Deleting a menu permanently removes it along with all its categories and items.

Deleting a menu cannot be undone. Make sure you no longer need it before proceeding.
