Gift Cards
Issue, redeem, and manage gift cards across your locations.
Gift cards let you sell prepaid value that guests can redeem later. Each card has a unique code, a starting balance, purchaser and recipient details, redemption rules, and a transaction history.
Issuing a Gift Card
- Go to Marketing → Gift Cards
- Click Issue gift card
- Review or customize the generated code
- Set the gift card value
- Add purchaser and recipient information
- Choose where the gift card can be redeemed
- Optionally set an expiration date
- Click Issue Gift Card
New gift cards are created with an Active status and are ready to be redeemed immediately.
Editing a Gift Card
- Go to Marketing → Gift Cards
- Click the gift card you want to manage
- Update the expiration, redemption locations, or status
- Click Save Changes
Purchaser and recipient details are captured when the card is issued and cannot be edited later.
Gift Card Statuses
- Active — The card can be redeemed and adjusted
- Cancelled — The card remains on record but can no longer be redeemed
Searching and Filtering
The gift cards list supports:
- Search — Find gift cards by code or related details
- Status tabs — View all, active, redeemed, expired, or cancelled cards
- Balance filter — Narrow cards by remaining balance range
- Issued filter — View cards by when they were created
- Sort — Order by newest, oldest, code, or balance
Outstanding balance and redemption activity update automatically as transactions are recorded.
Deleting a gift card permanently removes the card and its transaction history. This action cannot be undone.
