Birthday Email
Send guests a birthday greeting before their special day.
The Birthday Email automation sends a personalized birthday greeting to guests a set number of days before their birthday. It's a simple way to build loyalty and encourage visits around a guest's special day.
How It Works
When enabled, the system checks guest profiles for upcoming birthdays. Guests who have a birthday on file will automatically receive an email the configured number of days in advance.
Configuring the Trigger
The trigger value sets how many days before a guest's birthday the email is sent.
- A shorter lead time (e.g., 1–2 days) delivers a timely greeting right before the day
- A longer lead time (e.g., 7 days) gives guests time to plan a visit or place an order
To adjust:
- Go to Marketing → Automations
- Click the Birthday Email automation
- Update the Days before birthday value
- Click Save Changes
Guests without a birthday on their profile will not receive the email. Birthday information is collected when guests create an account or place an order.
