Menu Items
Menu items are the individual products customers can order. Each item belongs to a category and has a name, price, and optional configuration.
Creating an Item
- In the menu editor, click the + button on a category
- Enter a name and price
- Optionally add a description, calories, and category assignment
- Configure additional settings as needed
- Click Create Item
Item Details
- Name — The item name customers see when ordering
- Description — Optional text describing the item (ingredients, preparation, etc.)
- Price — The base price of the item
- Category — Which category this item belongs to
- Calories — Optional calorie count displayed to customers
Item Configuration
- Availability — Toggle whether the item appears on the menu. When off, the item is hidden from customers entirely. To instead keep the item visible on the menu but mark it sold out for a service, use the 86 page
- Alcoholic Product — Mark items that contain alcohol. This may trigger age verification depending on your configuration
- Max Quantity per Order — Set a limit on how many of this item a customer can add to a single order
Media
Upload images and videos to showcase the item. You can upload multiple files and drag to reorder them. Supported image formats are PNG, JPG, WebP, and GIF.
Allergens
Select any allergens that apply to this item. Allergen information is displayed to customers during ordering.
Taxes
By default, items inherit the tax rate from their category. If an item needs a different tax rate, enable the tax override and select the appropriate tax.
Special Instructions
By default, items inherit the special instructions setting from their category. If you need a different behavior for a specific item, enable the override toggle and set it to allowed or disallowed.
Available Hours
Set when this item is available. By default, items follow the category's availability. Use this to further restrict individual items — for example, a special dish only available on weekends.
