Menu discounts let you apply percentage or fixed-amount reductions to specific categories or individual menu items at a single location.
Scope Options
- Category scope — The discount applies to all items within the selected categories. Adding new items to a discounted category automatically includes them.
- Item scope — The discount applies only to the specific items you select, giving you precise control over what is discounted.
Single Location
Menu discounts are tied to a single location because menus, categories, and items can differ between locations. Select the location first, then choose which categories or items to discount.
When to Use Menu Discounts
- Discounting an entire category (e.g., "50% off all appetizers")
- Running a promotion on specific items (e.g., "$2 off the featured burger")
- Clearing inventory on seasonal dishes
If you need a discount that applies to the entire order rather than specific items, use an Order discount instead.
